We had a lovely time in and near the hotel . It is a few steps away from the Waterfront district with shops, restaurants and entertainment area.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff at the reception were very nice. I did not stay the night but only had dinner at the hotel restaurant namely the quater kitchen. The food was just okay, nothing special, lacked the flavour you'd expect in curries. The starter(malay platter) was average.Their mains were mostly curries and stews in a cape Malay style, I felt they were bland and salty. The dessert however was good although no berry compote as said in the menu. Overall an okay night. Wasn't wowed.

The breakfast buffet has lovely selections and the tasty cappuccinos are served. The rooms are comfortable, a little dated but still comfortable. If you are lucky you get a patio door to let in the fresh air on a cool night. TV's are large, desk had plenty of connections for electronics. Bar staff was friendly. Late night kitchen is limited and slow but have a drink, relax and be patient. Easy to walk to the V&A waterfront.

This place is the pits. The rooms are terrible, the air conditioning doesn’t work ( I didn’t get any sleep for three nights), and the food must be the worst in all of Africa. The tomato soup was horrible. The poached eggs in the Benedict were hard as rock ( remember to carry a chisel and hammer). For heaven’s sake, if you can’t poach eggs or make tomato soup, should you be running a hotel? Here’s the cherry on the cake: they charged me for double occupancy! Why? Because I didn’t tell them I was not two people!! This place is a rip- off. The last straw, the manager is a pompous little insect who has delusions of grandeur; he’s just running a third- rate hotel but is blissfully unaware.

Una delle migliori soluzioni come rapporto qualità prezzo in Cape Town. Tutto in uno stile Old english molto accattivante. Affacciato proprio sul Waterftont è un ottimo hotel e dotato di comodo parcheggio. Colazione magnifica e stanze confortevoli, specie se si sceglie la deluxe.
