  Fast at booking out a car to rent. Had a mechanical fault on the vehicle and AVIS was extremely quick at resolving the issue, by bringing me another vehicle. I'm impressed with AVIS in general.

  This time we rent a car the engen light come on. That was in Feb. Now today the rental won't start. Cost me 2 hours of my appointment. I lost R1100. Wait for the replacement rental to arrive. Don't they service the car or check the car before they rent it out!!!!! Just sorry for your inconvenience is all they can say. Please spoil yourself and rent somewhere where you do get a service and car that work!!!!!!!!!!!

  Our car was in an accident and Outsurance referred us to this Avis branch. We got a dirty car with tomato sauce all over the gears and carpets. This is after we were told to wait a few hours for them to clean the car. When we returned the car, it had a small chip on the windscreen which we were prepared to lose the deposit to. When I say a chip, it was a small chip that can be fixed. We also returned the car empty, again, prepared to lose the deposit on the car. They took extra money from our credit card, saying they put R800 petrol in the car. This is a very small car, there is no way you can fit so much petrol in that car. And they replaced the whole windscreen. And they refuse to send us the invoices and slips so we can follow up, claiming we don't have any rights to the evidence of what we paid for. We will be taking this up with the Insurance and we will be insisting on using another Avis branch in future. Total abuse of their policies.
