::Recently returned to SA for a quick visit and had dinner here. Same amazing service and food that I remember from many years ago. Garlic snails and carpetbagger for dinner plus a great wine. Will return again in the future.

::I love stumbling across places that are unexpected and produce fantastic food. And Hillside Tavern does just that. Friendly staff. Beautiful and quaint atmosphere. And a chef who really knows his food. The fish was light and fell off the bone. The sauce was exquisitely balanced. The steak was possibly the best we've had in a decade...soft, tender, flavourful. You can see that they have purposely selected their product and cooked it too perfection. They set a high standard and they do it effortlessly. Stumble across this gem...you would think regret it!

::Excellent cuisine and great service. Try the ribeye rump with carpetbagger sauce. Great selection of wines and really fabulous atmosphere. This is what Hillside Tavern is famous for.
