  I called discovery insure today to ask them to move my tracking device to my new vehicle. The consultant tells me the device was NEVER activated with C-Track. Even though I have been paying for 12 months they will not refund me. If the vehicle was stolen I would not have been covered. The CEO’s office did contact me to investigate and then refund me. That was good. Just pointless driving around with a tracking device that was not activated. Their insurance service falls a little bit short in my opinion.

  “Profits before People” - that should be their slogan. After the umpteenth claim they partially paid I decided to move. So they will happily pay everything from your “Medical Savings Account (MSA)” which is your own money since it’s part of your monthly contribution. When your own money (MSA) runs out, then you find yourself in this mysterious “Self Payment Gap” where you have to pay for everything from your own bank account (again, your own money) and keep submitting the claims. Once you have paid enough (about R12’000) according to some formula and around September, then your “benefits” kick in. At this point you will be forgiven for thinking that you can finally relax and they’ll pay for your doctor, but alas... Now they start questioning everything! Oh, and you don’t want generics - well that comes out of your pocket. Your doctor wants you to go for some scan or X-ray or blood test - nope, they don’t think you need it. It comes out of your own pocket - while you keep paying the monthly premium. I canceled my Discovery Health and my Discovery Life and waved goodbye to the ever-changing Vitality. If you want to see how “moving the goalposts” is done, just look at Vitality! All the best with your Bank that you built from my denied health “benefits”! Goodbye Discovery...

  I recently had a claim with Discovery Insure, I was both impressed and disappointed as I would assume from any insurer. I was impressed with their service straight after the accident. The claim process however was a bit of a nightmare, which I later found was much easier to deal with through my broker than with the person they assigned to my claim. I've recently got another car and I have been shopping around for insurance and Discovery has been great to offer me similar cover to what I had even with a different car, I am fairly happy with it and I think I'll be going back to them, also because as they say 'better the devil you know than the one you don't. May advise I think it's best through a financial advisor/broker,

  Home of The famous Discovery. Beautiful smart building carries everything healthy and discovery branded products from bank, vitality, vitality store and Discovery Clinic. There other partners in the building such as Woolworths, clicks, vida Cafe, Starbucks, Seattle Coffee company. If you don’t have any business in the building you can grab lunch or anything else in this building away from the congestion of Sandton city. Vast parking space.

  This building is beautiful. I just passed by to see a friend at work. Its amazing. I wonder what its like working there. I obviously didnt go inside but the view from outside is definitely amazing.
