  Keeping just a Marriott in the name won't give you a 5 star. The service of staff is pathetic, no one cares. Especially the banqueting manager (lady) she is way arrogant and will never be interested in listening to their clients and have 0% faith for customers. Food quality of the restaurant is also not up to the mark. Seems like a dying hotel.

  The location of the hotel is not a very safe one and further more the hotel itself does not live up to the high standards of the Protea brand of hotels. Suites are old and worn and the bathrooms are extremely tiny. I had many issues with my stay and even had someone banging on my room door at night. The staff at the main desk were sluggish in response to this and did not even log my complaint. Luckily I was assisted by the general manager of the hotel who was helpful in refunding me

  This hotel is central and easy to access from central Johannesburg. It's also in a peaceful part of Braam. The service is great. I wouldn't suggest visiting here with small kids though. The windows in high level rooms could be secured better. The rooftop bar and pool are stellar though

  The hotel is clean and the food and staff was very friendly. Explicitly the employee Sne, she made a great job. Very friendly, she always has a smile and sympathetic. She gave me good tips for my stay in Johannesburg and was able to help me with all questions because I traveled alone as a woman and was nervous. I have certainly guided safe myself. I recommend this hotel!

  The view from the top is superb. Other than that, as an international traveler to the area I would pick another hotel in an area further north. The place is outdated. I had room service once and wouldn’t do it again. It’s in a very unsafe area, so we were encouraged not to walk outside the large gate of the hotel. In fact we heard a gunshot not once, but twice in the three days we stayed here. There was WiFi service, but it was pretty slow. I had to be near the door to the room to get decent service. All in all, if you can spend a few more Rand, find a Protea or other hotel just a few kilometers to the north.
