Me and a friend spent a lovely hour with such a lovely and knowledgeable host just absorbing everything in the house. It was such a surprise to see how little we know of our past and also how different they lived back then and still how much we are still like them. She has such a beautiful collection of stuff and it honestly is as close to stepping back in time as we can get right now. If you are interested in the Victorian era, guided tours, antiques or just want to learn something new 10/10 would recommend. Not posting pictures cause you need to go!

What an awesome experience! We live in the area and it was a privilege to experience how people lived around here more then a century ago. The fact that it is a "living museum", makes the experience so much more authentic. Katharine, the host, has wealth of knowledge, and is more than willing to explain anything. Our visit was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone from the 8-year old, to the grandfather.

This was a very random and strange find, but worth a visit. This place is full of amazing antiques and a collection of memories, and gives a window into Victorian life. Each room reveals new treasuries and curiosities to explore. We spent over an hour on the guided tour. Our guide was full of anecdotes and information. I would recommend a visit on a day when you're looking for something random to do!

Linfield Victorian House Museum is an amazing experience. Take time to have tea and cake after the mind-blowingly detailed tour of the still lived in house given by Katharine. Her knowledge of the period is exceptional and deeply personal. In the collection (gathered over two lifetimes!) one sees curiosities and delights of everyday life rarely seen or even thought of.
