  A heads up for all international money senders, do not use the Western Union facility here unless you want to sit around the shopping centre for 5 hours waiting for your transaction to go through. I have dealt with Western Union in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka, Armenia, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines and have never had this problem anywhere. Why I am told I have to wait to get feedback from the IT department for a problem is beyond me. Had I known the other banks just outside the door offered the same service I would have done it there instead. I was also told I can go for a coffee while I wait! What a nerve to tell your customer to go for coffee and to make matters worse I return and you have gone off to lunch! What a joke! Bidvest Bank, please stop offering a service you clearly cannot deliver.

  Absolutely useless. If you want to exchange foreign currency they want proof of residence and flight tickets.. All the while when you already have a VISA.
