  I had a great stay at protea. The room was clean and the bedding. Air-conditioning was perfect and food was mouthwatering. Great staff

  I visited Protea with my whole family for a weekend. It was a very great outing. The staff from the gate to the reception were so friendly. Because it was my birthday as well on Saturday I was surprised by the staff who just popped in to my room for a happy birthday song and a cake. That was so lovely. The rooms are nice and comfortable with a variety of TV channels to watch. The environment is very nice with a zoo closeby. Thank guys for the hospitality . We enjoyed our stay and surely will recommend the hotel to my friends. Hoping to come back in no time soon.

  Fantastic gem of a hotel. Friendly, professional staff and very beautifully appointed rooms. Our stay was comfortable and great value for money. Will definitely recommend this hotel to all passing through Bloem. Our kids were treated well and they loved seeing the animals next door to the hotel.

  Lovely hotel with comfortable rooms and a wonderful outdoor area surrounded by a zoo. Curious animals wander up to the fence to observe the strange looking creatures in the hotel. The pool and surrounding area are small but nicely laid out and relaxing. There's a very good shopping mall 5 minutes walk from the hotel too and an ATM across the street. The only issue was that the staff didn't seem to be trained very well in service. They were not very efficient and would bring down an order and not bother to take away used glasses and plates. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
