I must admit every experience of mine at the Sands made me feel like a VVIP, Leigh always goes out of her way to make myself and friends comfortable.... almost as if we were Royalty. Thanks LEIGH

I worked at this establishment of a total shift of 13 hours, the treatment from the ''Owner'' is downright dirgraceful. The total of 500 plus tips was promised, we walked out there paying a bill of 750 between 3 bartenders driving this under minimum wage. Never mind the fact that stock control was audited and properly carried out the fact that management didn't even count the cash and varied it out to see no shortage was any subject of conflict. We were unfairly docked against our will. We were then colourfuly told we exude traits of the criminal profile, cussed out and told to leave. This establishment is not only dirty in deeds but general health standards are low and drinks are over priced. Thank you tis all.

I worked a shift here of 13 hours for a base of R500. Needless to say We had to split a R790 bill between us 3 bartenders because our bar was short. Interesting how they can so easily take money from the little we were already getting. Cash was not even counted and we were left completely in the dark. Some bartenders at other bars weren't even paid. Even after speaking with the owner about this discrepancy we were kindly told that we are dishonest thieves. Having worked in bars for over 10 years, I find it extremely hard to believe that this was our mistake. How could each bar owe them money? 4 bars? 15 bartenders? So we must all be incompitant thieves then... Ask yourself--is this the kind of establishment you would like to be associated with? The kind that takes hard earned money from its Idependant contractors?

Trendy place with a good scene to host an outdoor event. Parking is very limited and on street. Not safe at all.
