::Ordered a burger on the menu. So this should be simple. While waiting, some of the customers sitting there got up to enquire about their orders. Their orders were ready, awaiting collection. The orders are not called out. So the food is getting cold. Improve your customer service and you might get more business. Simple. Let your customers know their food is ready. KFC has implemented a new system by using a screen facing the customers to show that their order is placed by displaying the same order number as on your till slip. When it is ready, your order number shifts to the "Ready for collection" column. Very simple and convenient way to communicate with your customers. Just make sure you have a separate collection point than your order point.
