::This is by far the best coffee on the Midlands. Michael and his team consistently provide excellent coffee, with great flavour and served at the right temperature. There are small snacks to purchase to eat, but mainly come for the coffee. Beans are also for sale. Michael is very environmentally conscious, and as such he does not offer ANY takeout mugs for your drink. You either need to bring your own mug for a takeout (or purchase one of his for around R80 with a drink included) or sit-down for the drink. Watch out for the poetry readings done once a month in the evening: a lovely touch with a meal and unlimited for a very small price. No serious coffee-lover will miss experiencing SteamPunk.

::Sadly didnât get to taste the coffee. After ordering we noticed our coffees were being prepared in âsit downâ coffee cups. We mentioned We were in a rush to get to the Midmar Mile and needed take aways, to which the barista responded in a pretty condescending tone that they hadnât used single use cups in years. We arenât from the area so didnât know this, nor was there any noticeable signage. He then proceeded to ask us, in the same judgy tone, where our own take away cups were. We didnât have any with us and so he stopped midway through pouring our coffee told us he was going no further. Please donât get me wrong, I fully support sustainable living and do my fair share (which said barista knows nothing about), but the whole experience and tone of the conversation was unnecessary. Given the location I am sure they cater to a tourist market, where not everyone will have a take away cup on hand. Compostable cups without plastic lids should suffice.

::Saving the planet, one coffee at a time. This shop is a great stop. I reckon this is the best coffee in the Midlands. All beans roasted on site. An eclectic and inspiring stay of decor and signage inside. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are eager to serve. Environmentally friendly approach to business and the world is refreshing as the coffee. This shop keeps me coming back.

::Great vibe, incredibly awesome and cheerful baristas, go there for the flat white - its heavenly coffee đ also happened to be more pets than people which is always a bonus for fellow dog lovers! Be prepared to spend some time here as it is recommended you sit and enjoy your coffee instead of taking it away đ
