::The rooms are super spacious, in a lovely neighborhood with incredible views! Staff is insanely friendly and full of suggestions to round out a really nice trip! I’m not usually one to eat the hotel provided breakfast, but their chef does an insanely amazing job! Seriously don’t skip it. The hotel rate is also very very good. Do not hesitate on booking this charming boutique hotel! Note - they don’t have an elevator but it never proved a problem for us. We were on the top floor, and when we checked in and out, someone helped with our luggage.

::Der Besitzer ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Die Dusche ist mitten im Zimmer - ohne Abtrennung. Sehr cool und mal was anderes.

::Friendly staff, close to the Waterfront and city centre. Reasonable rates and comfortable accommodation

::To be preferred, both in terms of location and room quality, to any other 4 star big chain (i.e. Westin). Of course, being a boutique hotel, you cannot compare facilities. (there is no gym and there is no pool). The breakfast is a la carte only. I think they should add some basic in a buffet. Was a good experience. I would go back

::We spent 3 nights in Rouge On Rose, as part of a longer visit to South Africa. We were very impressed with this boutique hotel. In terms of location, it's right in the middle of the city in the interesting Bo Kaap district with its colourful houses. It's a 5 minute walk from Long Street, where there are a whole host of bars, restaurants and shops. Also on Long Street is the tourist information office, along with the main departure stop for the city tour buses. Although we're not really into bus tours, we took Ursula's advice and purchased a ticket. In fact, we found it such a helpful way to see the city, we upgraded to a 2 day ticket, using all three routes. Our room was spotless and very spacious with 2 balcony windows with a fantastic view. The whole place was tastefully decorated. The shower was wonderful - the perfect antidote to the long flight over. All of the staff were really friendly, and went far beyond what we expected to make us feel welcomed and at home. The breakfasts were fantastic too - really interesting choices, and freshly cooked to order. All in all, an excellent base for visiting Cape Town. Highly recommended.
