We shop at the Forrest Hill & Mall at Reds stores. their smart card machines have not been working for over six months. we inform the stores & they say that they have informed head office but they do not attend to the problem. How does the customer load the discounts on their cards before shopping?

I was at Pick n Pay The Boulders on 25 Feb 2019 around 14h00, and paid at the very first express till on the left. A young lady by the name of Nicole cashed my items. She was so unpleasant and also got very rude to a black elderly man who was with a boy of about 9. She shouted at the man mainly because he had more than 10 items to pay for. All Nicole needed to do was direct the man to a regular till, and explain to him the reason for doing that, without making him feel like an idiot. I don't care that she wasn't even greeting her customers, from what I observed. Why humiliate a customer so unnecessarily in front of a child and other customers in the queue? Isn't there some sort of training that cashiers go through? Sorry for generalizing, I know there are very good and well mannered cashiers out there.
