The long queues make you feel like cattle. The store feels grubby. Workers packing the shelves block your access to products and when you ask them to move give you a filthy look. Its a sad, delipidated, depressing shop.

Not a reflection on the stressed, overworked staff, but the queues make it impossible for me to shop there. It literally takes about half an hour to get to the till at lunchtime. The shelves are badly stocked, the items are not priced and the scanner is almost always broken. Finding out what an item costs is a mission. The selection is also very poor. The toys section doesn't exist, the stationary section is so pathetic, I have seen better selections at an average garage store.

Worst of the worst service delivery RIGHT HERE.. Cashier at the sigarette counter on here and disgustingly rude. The 10 or less item cashier looks you in the eye and whilst your waiting in the long slow lines to move puts the closed sign just as you start unpacking your items. I will NEVER EVER set my foot in that place again.

What had happened to the good old Pick 'n Pay Hatfield? Dirty. Staff unfriendly. Masses of people queuing at four outlets and the two cashiers at the express tills are slower than the N1. The ambience of the centre and store has lost its glory. This explains why the upmarket stores packed up long ago and left.

It's almost always very busy. There are very rarely enough baskets and trolleys for everyone in the store. It's even worse now since the Spar at Fields closed. Sometimes I have to wait for someone to help me at the cold meats deli/counter, other times no one shows up at all. But I find what I need most of the times, it's quite big so that helps. There's a wide variety of products. Although the fruit and vegetable section are not always well stocked. Which makes sense cause it is so busy.
