Overall it was a nice experience. Some of the exhibitions where in disrepeair due to their age.

We spent a night at the museum. A really exciting outing and very affordable. When we went to the museum on our own we felt some of the displays seemed old and a little worn, but after our night at the museum and our wonderful guide Bongi, we learnt the history and some of the displays are 104yrs old ... a new found respect. Very educational and enjoyable visit. The experilab is not open on weekends, and def a nice experience for young kids.

Highly educational, with a wide variety of exhibitions. Staff are very helpful and friendly. It does however seem like the museum has not done much maintenance in recent years.

It is a beautiful museum that feels a lot safer and cleaner than the surrounding neighbourhood. The geology and birding sections are great. It is nice that the birds are numbered with referenced numbers to the Austin Roberts bird guides. Note that this is a cash only facility. No credit or debit cards are accepted. It is a bit annoying if you don't carry cash, as the surrounding neighbourhood doesn’t look ATM-friendly. Parking is on the street only, with sketchy pay-meters/car guards and lots of non-RICA sim card hawkers. A bit out of my comfort zone. I don't like the area outside the museum at all.
