  Was fun and a lot of animals well kept. The toilet areas need to get cleaned sufficiently. Coffee shop was not open inside the zoo. The coffee shop in the gardens however are beautiful and had live piano music playing

  The Mitchell Park Zoo is located at Mitchell Park and has a selection of small zoo animals. The zoo is a bit run down but the kids love the park and there is a family friendly restaurant with well priced food nearby. The pie, gravy and chips is definitely recommended. There are child minders at the restaurant play area to help keep an eye on your child. Well worth a visit!

  What a treat.. From my childhood I took a few pages out to frolic with the ducks and kids, the animals at the zoo are so charming. while staying informed with information on each animal or bird I managed to chase a few duckling's and make some weird sounds. There's also much to do for kids in the play park, and lots of shady spots to take up for a picnic or family get together. I simply love how through all the years Mitchell park has carved a place not just in my past memories but in many more memories to come.

  Beautiful, well maintained gardens where you can relax and enjoy nature at its best. The garden also has a variety of wildlife in its Zoo, which you can take in at your leisure. There is also a delightful restaurant with a varied menu of food and drinks to choose from. The park also caters to young children with well equipped play area. Most important though is the clean public toilets and security available.

  This mini zoo, garden & bird park is a MUST SEE for each & every child... The animals are so adorable & quiet entertaining at times!!! However, im sure that the staff CAN do a MUCH better job at keeping certain habitats cleaner... Especially, over the weekends when it's their most busiest of times. This park is an ideal place for family gatherings. The kids can run around freely whilst the adults snooze or picnic away!!!
