  One of the landmarks of Durban central city. The mosque is shrouded (veiled) by shops and residential quarters. It has the biggest congressional prayers at noon on a Friday. In childhood it boasted remarkable lectures and visiting clerics, but seems to have lost its lustre of late Well worth a visit and there are your guides that arrange for the mosque to be opened and explanation of the history. There was an all girl's primary school attached to the complex, which is sadly no longer available to educate the public.

  Peaceful, beautiful and serine. Rich in history. Must see for every Durbanite.

  Biggest mosque in the southern hemisphere. The inside is massive. This mosque was architectured beautifully and amazing. The wudhu Khana is around a pond full of fish. Lots of shops encircling this musjid on the ground level. This mosque has residents living here on second floor that surrounds this musjid.
