Hi there, my name is Helen, we had to take a friend to the casualty of Frere on Sunday evening with breathing difficulties, I had never been there before, on entering, the security guard rushed over and showed us to a wheelchair, I asked what the procedure was and he asked what the problem was. I told him and he quickly showed me through to another section where our friend was attended to immediately by the nursing staff. After 4 hours, we eventually left for home. Xrays and an ECG had been done in this time. The nurses were friendly and efficient, the security guards from Madolo were very accommodating and respectful, the file was found within minutes. The doctor was so accommodating, even showing us the xrays and explaining everything to us, unfortunately I did not get any names, but thank you for the care on this evening.

Why do a state hospital dont have a wifi ? Vincent Park has Free Wifi so does Hemming way mall have Free wifi. Patients that cant walk have to let the families know where they are so that the family doesnt worry. BUT NO a Public hospital doesnt have hot water no genarators. The food is is un eatable and I would rarther eat dog food. 1 have been in this hospital for almost 4 months and to see how they treat patients is worse then looking at dog fighting...

Great service and top of the line medical staff through out. I went to frere to get a molar pulled out, got lost, and was redirected by all staff on the facility to the correct area. On top of that I was in and out faster than you could say flash. Everything flowed super well.

A typical South African public hospital. No guidance from staff when you need to query something or just find out information or directions. I had a friend there who was in a car accident. He was a diabetic, but they were not cleaning his wounds or giving him insulin. He almost lost his foot, because nurses just don't do their jobs.
