  We had one of our couriers come in to work as a lady who was in the taxi with him had left her wallet behind, called capitec bank in Hemingways as in the wallet was the ladies id, bank card as well as other belongings. Spoke to Adelaide at capitec and she was able to assist with tracking down/calling the lady who had lost her wallet. A big thumbs up to Adelaide who went beyond the call of duty.

  Sorry but I have to share the whole experience with you.I can honestly say,that I never thought,there would be a bank like Capitec,in my lifetime.I can't fault them on ànything.I've been to about 8 different branches,during visits to other towns.All of them were clean and neat.The staff are friendly and very helpful.You don't have to stand in a queues and wait your turn,just to find you're in the wrong queue and have to go through client service,or enquiries first,where you have to queue again.Then the assistant can't solve your problem,you have to see the manager, which you have to wait for, since you don't have an appointment.This is how it's been for years,since my first paycheck,when you still used your "banking-book"I jumped from bank to bank,but it was the same at every bank.The tellers were" stuck-up" and the moody bank manager had the last say.Then we got(still in some banks)the thick bulletproof glass,with the hole in the middle,that you have to talk so loud through,for the teller to hear you,that everybody in town, knew what you did in the bank that day.My daughter tried for a loan,at the well-known bank,she's been with for about 4 years.She was turned down,with some lame reason.Then somebody told her about Capitec.She spoke to their client service, was sent to a consultant,who assisted her,in filling out the forms.She was still in the bank,when her phone rang.It was Capitec,that deposited the money in her new bank account.We didn't want to change banks and believed that "our" bank was "the" bank.We had a bond for our new house,from them.About 6 years along,we got into unforseen financial trouble and we went for debt review.We paid the listed debt,in more or less a third,of the agreed period.We received our "certificate" that we were out of the red and "debt worthy" again,but this bank won't have it.We wanted to consolidate all the debt,that wasn't part of the review and applied for a loan,but nowhere we went, was successful.My daughter urged us to switch to Capitec.As we had no choice,we gave it one last chance and what do you know.The money was in my husband's bank account,before he got home.He took out two more loans after that.I'm so glad my daughter convinced us,to change banks.Modern,clean and customer friendly.When you enter the building,you are directed to the right consultants,so no more here and there queuing.Enough seats to sit and wait your turn.Even though the staff are very professional,they're still very friendly and go out of their way to help you and give you advice.Never going to change from "our" Capitec.Hope you find the same,in Capitec.

  Please edit your trading hours... I am soooo angry... I was there by 8:05 only to find out that the bank opens at 9AM.... NOT VERY HAPPY

  Absolutely Efficient... Other Worldy, this bank is light years ahead of "the big 5"
