  female security guard at 19:50 12/02/2020 kept us from seeing a patient and eventually agreed to let one person through to drop off food, she then started berating us and starting REPEATEDLY saying "hey im doing you a favour" in an obvious attempt to elicit a bribe, we asked for her name and she refused to give it then asked to speak to her supervisor to which she would not allow and said we must go in to find him, she then backtracked and then started insulting us ,then called for a back up and said "there are people trying to force entry" the arrived to find us quietly and patiently waiting, we explained the situation and they agreed what she was doing was not protocol she then tried to prevent other people from bringing food to a woman who had had a cesarean section done a few hours ago, eventually after she was implored to give her name and said it was ngobile ngusile, if that's true, she got caught out lying by her supervisor on everything so it can't be trusted avoid and especially avoid rate security company, you will be insulted at the gates when you visit your loved ones at this hospital by this person, who won't even leave the dustbin she's sitting on to attend to safety and security, and for favours you refuse to pay for.

  My Son was delivered safety and healthy thanks to the dedicated stuff of Bertha Gxowa hospital. Just wanna say thank you Jah bless you all.

  The one star goes to the lady at reception. She's the only one that makes sense there, she is calm reassuring and solo willing to help. The nurses and security and some doctors are so rude you would swear they come from the same home. The facilities are beautiful only if they could have staff that is prepared to work and are proud of their work.

  This is the worst hospital in the country, don't come here when you need help, they will treat you so bad that you would rather go and be ill at home than go to the hospital, the nurses are rude and don't know how to speak to patients, it's as if they do not get paid for what they do. This hospital deserves to be shut down because instead of helping the people it brings yoy down and wastes your time. The maternity ward is the worst because the patients in labor are treated as if they are not in pain enough to get treatment instead you get turned away because they do not want to examine you. The minister of health needs to review this problem and close this place down as this is not a working operation it's a failed one.
