Salmon Potgieter Does NOT recommend ARC ! , brought us under FALSE PRETENSES, took payment, couldn't treat patient as agreed, refuse refund, ignore correspondence. Nor VERA who assisted us and not Even Ryan Barnard as quoted in previous review β€œas the founder of the facility, poured my heart and soul into doing my best to ensure that a clients experience at ARC is a positive one” has not even took time to address this by replying to me. I agree with previous comments on reviews "full of lies just to fill a bed "

People there are quite rude and unwelcoming, especially at the reception. I got the feeling that they are obligated to be rude to those who aren't inpatients.

Worst place ever. Full of lies just to fill a bed, I wanted help withe chronic pain and depression but went I went in it was left alone like a prisoner. Didn't eat for 2 days cause they didn't cater for my cultural needs after telling them. They took me of my Medstead but didn't substitute. They took my medical aid card and went the next day to clicks to get me Meds. Wasn't treated for what I went in for, on my first day there was a fight with patients. Wen other patients spoke up in a meeting they were asked to leave. The food was horrible not nutritious at all. I loaded money on the vendor card which I left behind cause I was in excruciating pain when I went to collect it 1 of the nurses said she will talk to them to refund my R500 and to come back the next day. When I went back they only gave me my deposit yet I never used any money on the card, they refused to let me give it to another inmate so I drove back twice for nothing. I was told snacks would be provided yet another lie. I was given medication that I took from home for pain after telling the doctor it doesn't help. I was promised the world but got a patch of dry grass. In the 2 days I was there 5 people including me left. I was forced to pay R500 before leaving yet they still billed my medical aid for blood tests although I was no longer a patient. It took the whole day to get help signing the rht format. I never got evaluated by a cycologist. They made me feel like a thief. I couldn't walk wen I let there but they didn't care. Please be aware wen going to this dump U could make ammens by firstly refunding my money for the vendor machine Secondly u took much medical aid card to by medication at clicks in benoni wen u r facility is opposite the mal my medical aid had to pay ur driver .u were supposed to buy then charge it to the medical aid not go with my card and licence to a pharmacy, that's fraud. I also feel that because u lied to me my 1500 should be returned. I'm not being difficult but put urself in my place. I really don't have any expectations though. I will wait to c if this post caters to ur establishment morals as advertised or not

I am exceptionally grateful for the grounded attention and firm compassion Ryan and his staff have shown. They have a long-term approach, and they have the network to hold the person in recovery steady in a way that they need to be held so that proper recovery for the addict can be built, and their lives re-established. They don't let addicts fall off the map. We are still in the middle of it, and have experienced different facilities with different approaches. The work ARC does is caring in an extraordinary and practical way.
